The USAID-funded Leadership, Management, and Governance (LMG) Project recognizes that young people play important roles in health systems, whether as clients, advocates, or leaders.
Since 2011, the LMG Project has cultivated the next generation of global health leaders in low- and middle-income countries by designing youth governance and leadership courses, a youth peer coaching program, a guide to Forging Youth-Adult Partnership on the Board (available in English and French), and providing technical assistance to the International Youth Alliance on Family Planning.
What Works in Youth Leadership Development
The LMG Project also undertook a youth leadership programmatic review to better understand the key components for successful youth leadership development programs. During this review, the LMG Project identified 11 top youth leadership development programs.
